Easter Bunny Rabbit Hand Painted Wood Decor. Reversible Designs of Black and White Checks, Textures, Harlequin and More

I just finished these fun hand painted rabbits painted with different 

whimsical designs on each side...reversible bunnies. :)

I drew two different styles, cut them out of plywood and 

mounted on strips of wood so they would be free standing.

I made three pair. This pair has black and cream checks

on one side...

They have a textured design made with stencil and spackle on the other side.

You can use them with the matching sides showing or 

mix them up.

The second pair of rabbits has hand painted spring green diamonds

accented with gold dots and ...

Berry and golden yellow stripes with more dots on the other side.

They all have painted metal flowers at the necks and painted bases.

The last pair has green and cream checks...

And more of the textured damask look on the other side.

I can see any of these little works of art on a Spring or Easter Table, 

in an entryway, a little girls room, kitchen or anywhere for a pop of color.

All the bases have dots and stripes... 

With painted edges...

Striped ribbons at the necks...

And whimsical metal flowers at the necks.

So fun!

Easter Door Decor, Hand Painted Egg Shaped Door Hanger DIY

A little Easter door hanging I just finished for an order.

I cut an egg shape out of luan...

It's about 2' tall x 16" wide

I used a spray primer and spray paint for base coat. I 

used painters tape to separate the colors

I decided to add a little pattern in the middle, so 

I mixed glaze and paint...

and used one of those rubber pattern maker things (?) to make a design

in the wet glaze/paint. It's super easy to do.

eh...I didn't love it...

Instead, I used my big pattern tool I made a long time ago 

by cutting out notches in a squeegee. I liked the larger

stripes much better.

I had fun painting it...she asked for blue, yellow and purple

I used a piece of chalk to lightly draw the name, 

and get the placement right.

I then free hand painted the letters in black.

I drilled holes to add a ribbon for hanging.

Added cute spring ribbon...

and it's ready for the door!
