Hand Painted Dog Beds in Stripes, Leopard Animal Print and Textured Medallion Designs

These five dog beds were actually orders from last Christmas but 

just now sharing!

Update 2014 I'm no longer creating the dog beds and

This black and white striped with blue accents was one of a set...

The other one was the same design but in reds and golds.

All the dog beds start with a solid wood, hand built base. 

These both had the black and white striped sides...

striped posts with gold finials...

and curvy feet with metallic gold dots.

They both had painted bases under the cushions...

and both headboards were painted on the back with large gold dots.

They both had headboards painted with the same basic design yet each slightly different.

This pair was a lot of fun to create.

I also had an order for a bed with a textured design...

I used Flexall and a stencil to make the design and when painted and 

washed with a darker paint, the design really comes to life.

I made a curved headboard painted in a crackle finish and the whole bed was

edged with blue and cream stripes...

Painted all the way around...

with more curved little legs.

We worked together to come up with a range of fabrics in 

blues, cream and browns

She sent me a pic of her sweet fur baby in his bed :)

These last two leopard print beds were made in the same design

but were for different customers.

Hand painted animal print...

with striped and dotted feet.

They both had hand made headboards painted

 with big dots and a paw print...

Completely painted on the inside...

and on the backs of the headboards.

They had handmade cushions with leopard print on one side...

And black fabric with hand painted dots on the other side.
