Painted Metal Flowers

I've got about 10 different projects going on right now but here's a quick one that's completed.

You know those vintage metal flower or branch wall hangings you see sometimes?
That's how these started but I don't have an actual before...forgot.
Mine were a lot like these and were also that same gold color.... so I painted them.

Had this wooden base from a lamp and gave it a quick distressed finish
then just stuck the stems in the hole in the top.

And this is how they turned out

  1. Great googly moogly...you are so darn creative. I think that I am creative, and then you take something that I kind of look down my nose at (those icky metal flowers) and make something awesome out of them. Now, of course, I will be hoping to see those darn things so I can copy your idea.
Keep being creative so I may follow behind you, your creative majesty.

  3. The flowers look beautiful! What kind of paint did you use? Thanks so much for showing them off :-)

I've moved to Lucydesignsart.com to focus on my mosaic art. I'm no longer creating dragonflies or mermaids.
